Printed Village ----- the Winner is !!!!!

Some of you might remember the post of my first Printed Village submission.  I submitted for May again for their  "Floral Challenge",  practically last minute.
It was wonderful to receive email from them saying, Am one of the 3 finalists and winner will be announced in 2 days time. How exciting!!

After a lot of instagram voting and checking every now and then,I couldn't check anymore due to excitement and nervousness. Received a call from my Niece...."you have won".
I won!!! Thank you so much everyone out there for your support and love.

Here is the artwork thats going to be printed on scarves soon and will be available at Printed Village site.

They have a Nautical Theme going on right now.

Portfolio is now Live !! Carbonmade

After whole research what website to opt for my online folio, I have finally decided to go with Carbonmade. I must say it was fairly easy to make a website on that, though it has limitations of fonts on the free templates; never mind still am happy with how the work looks.

Online folio was one of the big tasks on my Feb list! and I have kind of completed it. A gorgeous looking CV and a good blurb about myself and it should be ticked off my list.... of course it needs to be constantly updated.

The Textile Design Lab: – “Tidal Beachcomber” Collections & Fashion Vignette

I have recently been taking up the Sellable sketch course at Textile Design Lab, which has been truly beneficial in my process of launching myself as a Freelance Print Designer.

At the same time I find the Chelsea's Challenge real fun to work on, these are monthly Design challenges where one gets to develop a whole collection of patterns. The forum consists of lovely bunch of designers who are motivational and helpful if one is stuck. Its just nice to have a different pair of eyes looking at one's work.

Last Month Challenge was about  WGSN story - 'Tidal Beachcomber'  and :-)
My work has been showcased among few other designers on their blog  woohoooo!!

.....its such a push to do more exciting work for my portfolio.

Came across the post being shared at Fashion Vignette too :-) chuffed

Fashion Week Frenzy - Jovoto

Been happily busy with few creative projects going side by side, one of them I have submitted last night for the Fashion Week Frenzy at Jovoto. It was fun working on the project and being able to see other creatives ideas. Really good work out there. I have already got few lovely comments :-)
Let me know if you visit it and any thoughts you might have.

Everything Pretty- Patterns from Sketch a day

Been playing around with few doodles from my sketch book and the lovely colour palette I came across on color-collective.com . Am very pleased with the result, any opinions? I love this website for colour palettes, simply beautiful selections.

Artwork 1 - Challenge

Greetings to everyone, on this glorious sunny afternoon.

I tried a challenge long back to do something every week, which sadly wasn't too successful. Rather than beating myself again & again about it, I have given myself a tougher challenge (but of course fun is involved. Like the movie "Julie & Julia"; if you haven't seen the movie do watch it for the coming 365 days I am going to post snapshot of pattern a day; that I have made.

And I do hope you all out there, are going to keep encouraging me.

The one below is developed in photoshop; but now am thinking to add more fun to my pattern a day challenge;all will be developed by hand!!

Highly Inspired by Annelies's blog , I adore her work; do have a
  look at her work
